It looks good to me and in keeping

I'd do the same, it weighs nothing and it leaves more areas for air inlets for cooling without the number plate blocking the front panel

I wasn't too sure at first, be its growing on me. Not sure if it's legal though?

Don't think that's legal, needs to be on a vertical plane. Just fit it to the front where it's easily removable for track days etc

Considering I don't have a handbrake, I'm sure my friendly MOT guy will also put it through.

I'm going to be honest and say I don't like it.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

I dont like the plate there either.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

As Carl says, definitely not legal, needs to be vertical.

What about a small rectangular plate? 12x6 inch. Squeeze it in somewhere.

Thanks for the seat link.

TBH the exterior of the car does seem quite neat and tidy, nothing too extreme.

What's wrong with the plate under the bumper in a fairly normal position ?

Given it's where people expect it, it would never look daft or out of place there and of course if you ever drive it on the road it wont give plod an excuse to hassle you.

Just a weight thing really, about a 400g saving. Which at this stage is a massive amount, especially as it's the same price for stickers of pressed alloy plates, For £8.50 I was worth a try.

Plan was always to fit plates in there normal location. The holes have been drilled under the front bumper with consideration of plate mounting points.
From a distance I still do want a stealth standard look,

What about a stick on plate on a carbon backing as a compromise?

Thought about that. I'm going to weigh a sheet of 1mm thick carbon, to worked out the weight. I can't see there been much difference, between that and a black acrylic plate to be honest.
