Interior re-wire is done except a couple of battery cables and a cover for this lot.

Block is going to 1310 (simply because 1293 pistons are currently non exsistant!). So more posh tart with special sauce.

Haha.

Being more specific, no one I tried had any 020 forged 18cc dish omegas.

MED said it would be a few months until omega make some more. They didn’t have a certain date.

Got a new rear view mirror, it’s literally an exact replica of a longacre but £16 delivered from eBay. I then stripped it down removed the metal backing etc and glued the glass to the brackets. Along with taking a bit of those. Very happy with it.

Got the plastic screen fitted to, was very tight!

Also fitted my tillet. Was a bit of a faff with my cage being designed around my old seats but I’m happy with how it is.

Old 21253 on a standard rod

Saenz rod with omega :). One very light and strong combo!

Heads all blocked up and built ready to go. It’s got 25cc chambers the pistons now sit flush so it gives me 8:1 CR.

Block is also bored out and good to go. Was done by alex at The Car Kitchen. Some very nice work, he also fitted a few timeserts on the stud threads as they were a bit on the ropey side! I’ve also shaved quite a bit of weight of the block. Didn’t go to mad though. Can see it around code plugs dizzy hole etc.

That’s going to be a lovely beast .

I’m hoping you’re going for moderate boost and reliability rather than out and out power !!

Going for maximum curly wurley's *wink*. I'm going to wind it up a little. I think i'll get it mapped at 15psi then tame it down to 11-12 psi.

Is this a new build and injection at the same time?

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

You will do it Jonny, it's good to have a deadline to work to. I look forward to seeing it. I have mine booked on the rollers on the 20th. Blyton is a great event.

I hope so Roy! I did really enjoy it last year. Hope we get similar weather.

Yes Graham, John is going to map it. I figured it was best to get them to do it as it’s there kit.
Wil_h kindly sent me a map he had for his so I can hopefully get it running with that before hand.

I agree it’s a good idea, it will noboubt be much faster and safer with the people that designed the system.

I hope you make the date, this new setup has a lot to live up to!

ive been up there for mapping with a freind on an 8v conversion, and it was well worth it, Simon did the mapping, and it was quick and painless and there was a big difference in how the car drove before and after,

I see that the ECU side has split off as SCS delta, so not sure what the arangement is there now, it might be as well to confirm who is doing the mapping before hand?

Oh right interesting! I’m sure whoever they are they will thebest people for it :).

In other news, plastigauge says no go on the crank :s. 0.003 big end and 0.0035 main. Hopefully can get a resolution this week. Did find it a bit odd that a re-worked Crank was still on STD size.
