It's just a little one on the bulkhead, shouldn't be noticeable once the engine is in. Had to happen eventually. I'm being quite anal round it. Didn't enjoy drilling the holes for the brake and fuel line clips...

To be honest, I've not been finding the time and things have been taking a lot longer than I expected. No chance of it being done for MITP. Will do a proper update when I've got a few more things done.

I'm at the point where it should be easy and everything should go together in no time at all. Except it isn't... Seem to be having loads of silly little problems that are all taking time to sort.

Stuck some bits on in the engine bay and underneath.






Got the box together, then had to pull the diff out again as I got an ATB instead of the 4 pin



After finding the crank was bent (thanks Carl) and had swollen all over when it was hardened, so even standard thrusts wouldn't go in (Thanks Sprocket and Carl), I eventually got the block machining done and started building the engine today.








Had to stop at this point as my fooking DTI has decided to die on me. More time and expense...

Hoping to get a bit more done more often as I've pretty much finished the work on the house that has been holding me up. Hoping to have it on the road in September and ran in and tuned for Coombe. Hopefully I won't miss that dead line...

You can borrow my DTI as long as you promise not to fuck it up.

Thanks Chaps. Nothing is ever straight forward on this car. It's come a long way from needing a patch in the boot and an engine chucking...

Thanks chaps. Yep, ARBs at both ends. Unfortunately, I've got the wrong blades for the rear so need to get the correct ones before it can get the wheels etc on.

The DTI is on the exhaust valve because I couldn't make out which it was in the grainy pictures in Tom's guide. I may take some more as we are doing it and stick them in the thread. Should it be timed on the inlet?

oh dont do this andy i timed mine with toms guide now im doubting if its right or not, oh well i guess its too late now my engines all together
