It hardly matters what colour anything is. It's all down to engineering and workmanship

I like the colour, it's a subtle contrast. You can see all the detail and it's not in your face either!
Keep up the good work

Just a funny idea.. but imagine a mini magazine 'where are they now?' Article!! And showing yours when it was in mag (i even have the poster hung somewhere) and now... and simons literally a few months after feature!? It'd be so funny as most are EXACTLY the same tucked up under blankys.. where you two have thought 'fuck it!! Featured car worth a tonne of money? I'll just start again!!!'

Yep Still on track for 500kg. 150bhp, 300bhp per tonne.

It's was 295 with the turbo.

I've had to revise the engine spec slightly though. Now 1460cc

Not sure yet. I was thinking about adhesive ones, but pressed (alloy Edited) steel will look better, but their 236g each.

New additions

Crank is 1.5kg heavier than my fully worked turbo crank though, but I guess the weight is in the right place. The Rods only weigh 412g each and Pistons 215g each. So overall not too bad. 7800rpm rev limit, so not the best for the drag strip, but should perform well out of the bends on the track.

Loving the crank!

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

Progressing very well indeed, better up that rev limit to make good use of that crank!

Long Stroke 86mm crank, so 7800rpm is the recommend limit according to Swiftune. Cam should be tailing off at about 7600rpm anyway. Engine is planned around a good usable torque curve, not all out power. 300degree camshaft. This is still a road engine at the end of the day.

300degree camshaft. This is still a road engine at the end of the day. [/quote]

Sorry but this made me chuckle! I guess its a lot more driveable these days with management, but when I had a 286 in a 1300 in the early 00's on a HIF44 it was a PIG!

I do say that quite loosly, I've had a 1380 with a 649 cam, Webber 45, on the road and that too was a pig to drive in traffic or below 3000rpm.

I should have said ' Road Legal ' really. Don't get me wrong I not going to be going to the shops in it or driving it to shows.

I'm hoping however, the fuel injected 7 Port head, 500kg, 3.9FD, 1460cc, 6" Rods, should all help low end drivability.

John kimmins Race cammed 7 port 1380 with 290 degree cam (135bhp) is apparently very road friendly.

Beautiful build but I have to ask are the big ends on that crank bored out? If so does this effect the oil flow to the bearings, i've no boubt that Swiftune have thought about this by I'm trying to figure it out on my mind. Cheers

That looks like the MED multi web crank and dog box gear set. You mentioned Swiftune, is the MED and Swiftune kit the same thing?
