With Brett's help, I've snapped another flywheel puller. Got the box of the block and did a little bit of disassembly.

that is very lucky, incidentally what is the angle on the gears? could the torque from hinting a gear pull the whole gear kit towards the bearing? Yes i moved to the darkside |

There's no real in/out play, but tonnes of up and down. Explains why the drops seemed noisier after avon.

i think the 18psi explains the slip lol seriously though you could see there had been oil in there by the way the clutch dust was sort of painted on every thing :) Yes i moved to the darkside |

Intresting read Colin. The box was unknown to us, so I'm just going to put it down to abuse, fit a second hand bearing then chuck it on the spares pile.
