Alloy coilover brackets, ti bolts, protech coilovers, alloy hubs, KAD 7.9 non vented brakes = 5.5kg saving :).

Been working on the linkage to, nice and solid and some weight saved.

Superb looking car.

Is it possible to cover up the suspension parts just ahead of the rear wheel in the last shot ? It seems a bit out of keeping with the smooth look of the car ?

Thanks :).

It has been pointed out before. I did make a couple of plates to cover it but they looked a little odd on the car. I just never came back to sorting it!

Looks good as always, I was planning on using the mk1 radius arm covers / shrouds for the same reason, I want to try and hide the end of ally box section I have as a 'beam' and the adjustment plate. maybe you could adapt something similar?

It's not high on my priorities at the moment. Bought my first property, so car will be on the back burner for a while now :(.

Where did you get your selector bush from? Mines got slop so I want it sorted before I fit it all up eventually.

I fitted some small bronze bushes in my housing. Readily available.

i put new standard bushes in and added the extra bit at the front for more support as it used to rattle at certain rpm.

I made the front bit. Just turned it up on a lathe. Copied from Simon to be honest! Careful as most of the selector housings are off a bit so you need to drill it off centre.

Mitp went well again for me.

Hoping box and everything else is ok, although I doubt it.

First run of the Sunday lol.

Gutted for you mate, was in grandstand when it went crunch, plenty of engine movement just as it gripped.

Think I may have a picture with the quad helping you home

What the mind can conceive the mini can achieve
MITP 2012 17.01 seconds 1/4 mile against "The Don"
MITP 2013 16.83 seconds 1/4 mile

Oh bugger, but good effort too. Hope there's no other damage.

Didn't take you long to get it out and stripped down!

Do you think you would benifit from a pinion support bearing?

My build thread..

strange to see a pinion go, especially in a light car, what FD ratio is it?

Same as lee said, saw it from the stands and you had a fair old amount of engine movement dude.
That may well be causing your popping out of gear issue

Not sure I want that photo Lee! Lol.

Bloke on the quad was not impressed they didn't just push it back.

Pinion support is ordered and on the way. Can't fault KAD. Hopefully that helps.

It was a 3:1 I thought the same. I think Chris did his as well. I think maybe it started pulling apart one tooth went took the rest out, pushed apart from each other and cracked the box all around the main bearing.

Yea nice to meet you Dave, no I didn't get any good runs with it jumping out of gear. I didn't even look at times.

The rest looks fine I can't see any other damage apart from the casing is buggered.

That's interesting Lee/Nick, I really did not want to solid mount it but I guess I will have to. Probably try solid bottom steadies first.

Maybe it was a duff one Robert? Or perhaps the casing cracked first and allowed the main bearing to move away enough to damage a tooth. Then the rest went with it!

I think Chris D has done the same thing on the Saturday.

I guess i just don't have much luck, i'm only on 10psi lol.

A032r and a X-pin. Maybe the cwp was a bit worn out. It looks quite old. The replacement I have looks a lot better to be fair.

Hoping to have it all back together by end of next week.

I did wheel spin for quite a while before it went.
