What are your plans for it.? All stripped out for action. Banger racing?

Banger racing my mini... please go and wash your mouth out! No it will be light, road legal, and fast, not telling on engine or which wheels will be driven either *wink*

Done some more to the metro tonight, removed some of the sound deadaning in the rear, stripped out the rear washer line (no rear wiper), removed a shed load of random speaker cable, rear wiper eletrics removed and removed the sun visors ready for a 'sun strip'

Over the weekend I will be finishing off the boot lightening, taking pictures of what I have done and most probably doing something to the car people don't like *smiley*.

On another note I have sourced an exhaust (mg zr 160 manifold, modified down pipe to an ashley 2.
1/4" system) , this will be with me by the end of the month (finger crossed)

Another little update

Finished off behind the numberplate for now, it will be modified more once I get a new plate.

Set about taking weight out of the boot as well, ideally I would like a fg one but none are for sale at a good price curently. So this is the start, cutting the inner pannel abit, and made a few holes on this inner pannel as well. I have removed enough weight to only need one boot strut *happy*

Removed the rear end sound deadaning, I had forgotten how much this stuff weighs, still a little residue but it got to hot to continue working in the car.

And left to sit pritty in the sun

Somewhere around Swindon

You have drilled holes in a british made hatch not only will that rust like a mutherfucker the exhaust fumes will get drawn in

I would look at getting good balance rather than just trying to go as light as possible where ever you can

Well weight wise there has been a pritty consistant removal front to rear so far, the bonnet will be attended to tomorrow along with removal of the mgf exhaust hanger.
So ballance is still very good *smiley*. Its been one of main things to keep it useable and still hangel well *happy*

The numberplate is sealed so there wont be any fuemes coming in.

I like the colour , the stance, the wheels. Everything going on inside makes it look like a chavmobile. A pretend racing car. If you are putting it on the track it makes more sense but as a road car .....come on

Swansea boyo!

I think your going to look like those 18 year olds in their first car thinking they are sooooo fast in their 'rat look' shed of a corsa :(. I understand what you are saying, whatever makes you happy it's your car but like everyone else, I don't see why you'd bother and waste money/time on this :(.

They don't die, they just get faster!

Fook it bud do what you like! Like drilling holes in a metro bootlid is sacrilege? Half of them are scrappers nowadays anyway!

Still alive, new job and other commitments have ment I have not had enough time to work on it, this weekend should see her back running again.

Have had to sort alot of very suspect modifications from previous owners, it has changed abit since the last update. I will do a full update when its back running and with a new mot.

In brief its had pritty much everything changed or modded now, head is mildly ported, inlet mildly ported, heat wrapped 39mm primary 4-2-1 2 1/4" side exit exhaust system, tinkered throttle body, carbon radiator ducting, dash has been cut back and other stuff has been done, I expect 160-170bhp at the fly when it goes on the rollers, a similar setup as mine with a piper exhaust cam made 186bhp at the fly at slark.

I got it to troll on people, it was always going to end up ratted and fast. It is to my taste and alot of people don't like it but I dont care mine not yours!
