if i had soldered the two pots in each other's place would that cause my problem?
i have 100k near the copyright writing on the board and 10k in the center.

i've checked the schematics i have them switched i'll resolder and update on the status.

so very sorry if that's the cause (but i do hope it is)

Dan,

Can you double check the locations of the two pots on your mainboard, from the photo I asked you to email me you may have the 100k where the 10k should be (and vice versa).

woop woop. thank you chaps for your input. pots were the fault. (dammit!). Started first time! I'll get things in order and start posting some information about how i get on with tuning and balancing the cylinders. thanks again (and sorry it was my stupid mistake in the end)

Thanks Paul. I have a fair bit to do (and work out) before it runs perfectly but hope to have it driving next week.

Once I have it working well then hopefully all i need to do is weld up the manifolds (for which i've purchased or made most of the bits already), fit the turbo and refine the tuning for the new setup. I'm expecting to run N/A until end of August before starting the turbo work .

I've renamed the thread so it might be of more use when searching.
