It will be interesting to see how you get on with the speedo. I'm thinking about a similar one for the Nimbus.

Andy. I have one in mine. It's great, but would be even better if it told me how fast I was going. I'm sure it's a problem with the sensor/wiring rather than the unit itself.

I had one in mine before, worked perfectly. I found you had to angle the LCD to ensure you could actually see the screen's data otherwise all i saw was the blue without anything on it

The seat came with the shell. But from what I've read most people say they are surprisingly more comfier than they look.

Where were/are your speedos mounted? Center or in front of you in the dash?

Lol them seats definatly don't look comfortable!

Went to fit the brakes yesterday evening and found the discs catch slightly are the steering arms.

There minisport ones. I think I read somewhere that most people have just filed, angle grinded a bit off the arms? Anyone confirm this?

Mines mounted on an angled piece if the dash to aid viewing.

I like the idea of bringing it even closer though. On the steering cowling would give a better view.

I have seen a similar speedo mounted on the cowling and agree it did look like it would provide a lot better view.

Got the brakes fitted over the weekend, and they look great!

Chipping away at it, slowly but surely.
Need to order some engine mounts, what do you suggest? standards rubber, solid or those quick release poly ones?

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.
VEMS + 12 PSI + Liquid Intercooler = Small Bore FUN!

In a couple of weeks hope to tackle the wiring and general work to get the engine in, first time i've done anything like this so haven't a clue where to start. If anyone local wouldn't mind giving us a hand for some beer tokens would appreciate it.

I've found myself in abit deep here!

In regards to the actuator, did most of you make a bracket to mount it on the opposite side?

Remember that 998 blocks are not as tall.
