Good Progress. I'd probably powdercoat the front subframe as they don't tend to go rusty. I got my rear one sprayed with some zinc stuff to stop it going rusty.

before you go too crazy welding and grinding I'd get that front windscreen out, or cover it. I wrecked one with sparks.

Edit: That said I ruined mine on the inside where it is laminated but I still wouldn't risk it!

Really!!, I never thought it would damage the glass luckily all has gone well. It's all welded in now asides from the angled section for an air pipe. If anyone is considering doing this measure twice cut once can't go wrong. When I come to finishing it I'm going to cover the glass faw shaw.

Mines ruined with sparks too, black dots burned into it all over.

For me... Rookie mistake, lesson learned!

Rite come across the biggest challenge today, trying to get the split pins out that hold the plungers to the pedals.
I have never sworn as much as I did today.
Bulkhead box is coming along just waiting for filler to dry before I can paint it.

Here she is taken me all day *smiley* labour of love. I thought my welding looked crap but a flappy disc and an angle grinder work wonders. Iv just stood and admired it for five mins lol.
