Thanks guys. Agree on the black.. it would be a bit much all colour coded. I did consider doing the arches blue.. but talked myself out of it.

Yes, no room under the bonnet! Not done the rr setup yet on high boost so not run the water apart from to make sure it works.

Thanks. No they are standard lenses but the bit round the edge that would normally be silver is painted black. I think that is what makes them look darker.

It's way better than the earlier manifold on idle and low openings. It responds in the way you would expect when you change settings, unlike the old one which was great on boost and just plain whacky anywhere else. Should be good enough for boost as it's many squirts per cycle. It certainly looks good on the few afr traces I've done in bursts up the road. I expect it to be as good as a carb but easier to tune, which is exactly what I was aiming for.

If I can be arsed I'll stick the manifold with 2 lambdas on it and see what inner/outer are at, but from what the sequential evangelists have said that won't be a reliable read anyway, so I think I'll just drive it and see. Water injection helps in that a weaker mixture is less of a problem, so call that my insurance policy.

Cool i will be going efi next year but can no longer justify the huge out lay of a 7/8port head now im thinking about making a straight replacement for the carb such as the specialist components one but with 4 injectors and sample tubes for 2widebands im not hunting for everyblast drop of efficiency but for ease of tuning. I have aslo thought about using injectors to assist the carb so have to see what happens

I made the 4x injector ring on a lathe and a pillar drill. Ally cost about a tenner, took a day to do. The injector holder is a piece of bent stanless and the fuel rails are 20x40mm ally bar with holes drilled in them - another £10. Then use a separate TB off something production, mine is off a volvo 850, cost £8.

Makes TB kits look expensive.. although they do look nice..

If you need to borrow the special drill for injectors with all the right steps in it give me a shout.

haha my bad! I thought the rain on them was pitting. I sold some a couple of months back that had some pitting that made them look the same.

I have to confess it's a combination of rain and a bit of pitting. But they were silver originally, so not yours.

A bright car with black trim is a winning combination, really looks great and well screwed together.
