Hey Nic - cheers - good to hear from you, hope the red peril is in rude health.

I'm also interested in Wil's new engine with the sc 7port 998. Maybe he can break the 200?

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

hey Matt - good to see you back about - the surfing has just kept you away too long! The charge cooler is a custom one for the dyno, the car will be running an air to air.

hows your crazy projects doing - bolted a hardryer to that R1 buggy yet?

hee hee, yeah going to Byron again in 2 weeks time, for another 2 weeks hols, it`s a hard life hey?

& no hair drier on it yet, it`s sitting here awaiting it`s place tho , but i`ve just fitted up the new 150hp injected engine into it, playing with all the wires & fuel lines & crap to make that work first, then we`ll look at bunging the blower onto it.

Is a Billet gearbox case & fatter gear-train next on the agenda for your "thing" ???

Playing with a 5-axis machine lately,,, well not me, but a friend of mine is carving up my slab of alloy for the 5-main stroker R1 mini engine... wish i knew what i was doing... you`d be far better at all that than me *smiley* lets do a deal--> i`ll go surfing & you machine my block for me ok?

it`s a bit more involved than i first thought but after stuffing the first one we`ve learnt a hell of a lot, so we`re taking a bit more time with this 2nd one

keep up the good work & hope to see some decent tyre shredding vids soon *smiley*

Matty - yes a Quaife ATB has been tasked with the job - I think some spare yoko's will be in order at all times -at least they'll wear out together!

Matt - you have a hard life, I don'tknow how you cope with all that water/sun/beer - it must be hell (very jealous!!) I'd love to have a go at carving some goodness out of that billet!!

sx - its a GT28RS ball bearing core'd hybrid speced for this motor - saying that all the special bits are on the exh side.lol!

very nice result,

have you purposely tuned the torque to be that low? or is it just the characteristic of that engine?

of course over 200 lb/ft is low for a 1.3l engine.lol!! (thats the sort of torque you get from a 300hp 2.4l n/a Duratec!) in reality we would need to put more boost through it to get the torque - we have another 6-8 psi available but its not needed - I think the constant torque from 4.5k up to 8k is more important than bigger numbers.

You say this John. But i think youll find the limits of this car sooner rather then later.

So next season, i think youll be running more boost.
