Yes Joe I turned the buttons to the mirror of the taper on the button there not press fit con-rods tho I have used this a few times befour to very good effect.

Stig, tank came from Demon motorsport, top class very well made with a fuel guage sensor and tripple baffeled. Really very well made.

thanks Paul,

I have just made a set to fit my accralite pins, but I'm a bit nervous about using them as they look like they could come loose in the pin and rattle about, I'm considering bonding them to the pin somehow.

Im not sure how the Accralites pins are made but the omega Pins are only tapered for the first 20mm then the become a parallel bore of about 12mm so I turned my buttons to mirror the taper for the first 20mm and then turned another 12mm at 12mm dia so my buttons nearly tuch in the centre of the pin I figured there would be no way they could fall out then.

Given the quality of the accrilites is it really likely a circlip will fall out, its not like were talking standard 998 pistons here? Surely it would all be designed to stand up to the intended punishment the pistons will be subject too.
