This is damn near a yearly event, can't believe it was July the last time I updated this. Recently I have had the time and desire to get into the garage, and I'm happy to say some progress is being made, albeit slowly.

Drivers side is coming along, turned into more of a patch work quilt than originally intended, really wish i'd have bought the entire floor panel in the first place, but hey ho that's just the way it goes. Good thing is i can really feel the strength coming back to the shell as when it was at its worse and off the spit it was like a jelly.

Hopefully shall get it turned around soon and start on the passenger side which isn't quite as bad. been collecting lots of bits for when the rebuild starts, most of which are in storage so no pictures, but KAD arms are sat waiting to hold the special splits on... probably in about ten years at this rate.

Managed to build one wheel up for mocking up purposes, note the bicycle tube valve! The wheels are just in high build primer at the moment, not sure on final colour yet. I am going to try and keep up the momentum and get it off the spit so the mocking up and fab work can begin before paint prep.

Coming on well

Minor update, one turret fitted and awfully expensive rear panel fitted, cannot believe how this panel came cut by the rear lights. Cut the boot floor out ready for the new jobby.

how much was the panel? I replaced the one on mine (a good few years ago) but didn't think it was that expensive

That's the new price, I bought second hand but unused for half that.

those panels are abut £180! I know, I just bought one from Dave

Its a decent gauge steel but the finish where it has been cut is appalling.

Hinge panel fitted alright then dude, did you tidy the edges first?

Can't believe mini spares have put the price up!

A wooden mould, a hammer and lots of patience!

Had a decent day in the garage today, back end is coming together..









Fed up with grinding now, really looking forward to bolting things on and seeing it take form..
