Cheers for the comments on the welding .Aside from the welds looking flash they took far less time to sort out afterwards so got the drivers door finished off this afternoon.




Went back to the garage later on and mounted the passenger door up to check the fit and its pretty good everywhere except along the bottom where its miles off being a decent seal.It bows out about 10mm or so in the middle where as either end is just right.Plan is to cut the centre of the door our out then cut and reweld the lower section as it wont bend enough to get it right.

I couldnt be arsed to do any more cutting so I had a go at making a door card instead.The dimples in the middle follow the lines of the door bars which I like but I cant help thinking it might have looked better without the ring of dimples around the hole though,they make it look a bit busy but I did those early on so couldnt change it.

Second effort at the door cards came out better,made the hole in them smaller and moved it along a bit to get the pattern of the third door bar pressed.They just need the corners trimmed off and some mounting holes drilled.
