Quick photo update. It's too dam cold do do any work, my hands were freezing just taking these pictures. Should be making engine mounts but I'm playing assassins creed brotherhood.

out of interest, is there any difference in weight between the new and old engines?

Well put it this way. I can just about lift the zetec and gear box to move it around. However the old 13/60 engine I needed help to lift with out the gearbox. Never tried to weigh them.

Little update,

Cars almost done as you can see....

I've put the engine coul on which by the looks of things the engine isn't as tall as i though it would be so i think it will fit with NO bonnet mods

Also beeing playing with the prop, looks like a 2 peice escort prop should work with alittle cut down and a spitfire 1500 end put on


Rear seat is fitted


and i've even fineshed the carpets

Just read this thread - interesting and different.

There was a Herald estate at Croxley Green last year with and MX5 engine and box in it - maybe a trend is developing ?.

I've never done any before this so its definatly a learning curve and i think my welder is too small :-S

I would have said say your 5th ratio is a little short for what it is meant to be then I realised you are talking mph and I am thinking Km/h
