no probs,

I think the issue comes from friction between the two springs, as they are comressed they will slide against each other, I guess they are a bit rough to start with. It is probably a good idea when building one to buff the mating surfaces and either lightly grease them, or give them a coating of pencil lead.

Lol my lcr clutch pedal felt light as hell when I drove home!

I did sand the pressure plates and colour then in with pencil, but as pencils aren't lead anymore I done know what that achieved lol

Makes sense what your saying Joe. I'll continue to sit in it pressing the clutch making engine noises!

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

Will that subframe go back in the car with them welded on there?

As my setup is the Same and I have to bolt them in.

Yeah easily, I have a carbon front so I'll make it fit around the mounts. I'd have preferred bolting, but with my brace bars I don't have the room underneath. :)

Been busy extending my front end and making it fit nice.

Starting to mock up my exhaust manifold now. Am thinking of this for turbo position? Quite far back so to get some nice flowing curves on the manifold.

Can anyone see any draw backs?

The only real drawback will be limited room for your actuator. Although, It can be mounted above the wastegate on the exhaust side.

Ah I'm with you. There is more room than it looks, my box is massive lol

I'm also making some carefully measured oil drain pipes angled so the oil drains back freely

Extending the front by 20mm over standard length.

I know it's messy, I hate fibreglass! Still loads of sanding and cleaning up to do. I have some carbon mating material I was planing in doing one coat over the back to neaten it up but frankly I'm not sure i can be arsed lol

I bought the carbon front second hand, and the previous owner had "made it fit" consequently it didn't fit, they had taken too much off so I thought as I'm fitting a front rad with a fan the extra clearance will make things fit more happily. I don't think 20mm will notice much

Got some silicon hoses and a rubber 90 for the top hose rad, hopefully turning up today! Looking forward to being able to get the final intercooler position, and get it all mounted!

Then I'll get the Nodiz ignition ordered and the wiring loom fitted.

Fuel tank should be here end of next week so looking forward to that
