What's the map like? has it been tweaked much yet, or is it still fairly conservative?

Thats because the torque drops off constantly from 4500rpm - either the turbo isn't holding its boost level as the revs increase, or the fueling/ignition is off.

I havnt got a clue, thats why i posted it here .
drove it 15 miles and all seems fine .
what could cause the turbo to lose boost ?
fuel and ignition is spot on from what i understand .

boost is at its highest at 6 ooo rpm ,so not a boost prob .

made this from the figs,

first off its a bit rich and gets richer as the RPM climbs, I'd say you want it in the low to mid 12's for AFR.

second off from the graph below, i'd say check the cam timing.

I assume its better to be rich rather than lean though?
This wont hurt it while i,m running max boost of 11psi and bedding in the engine /and problem solving will it?

no worries,

yes, definatly better a little rich, it will be fine as it is, but it may drop a few horses,

another thought i had was, with the low CR this engine may not come into its own untill you get some more boost into it.

I havnt had a quick mini before but driving home i could see the potential!
give it 500 miles and an oil change and i,ll up the boost a bit more , nevous about the smoking though , any thoughts?

Been out in the beast today , its gone for a makeover !!
So took some pics so i can see how it is now .
As i had a little blast the long way round to the body shop it all seems fine execpt for the dam smoking !
When i arrive at the body shop i see both rear arches hanging off , they must have hit on the wheels , good job they was comming off anyway!
Well here are a few pics from today
Tbh the the car looks so much better in the pics than it really is hense the makeover
