all good work mate so far apart from one slight detail ,the sills need to be vented or itl have as many holes as a teabag in very short time as they retain water without the said holes

give em hell

Some nice repairs there! Yeah I'd either chop them oversills off or at least put some vents in them.

The B post should be fine without reinforcement I don't beleive the bins are structural at all anyway when you look how flimsy they are. *oh well*

Looking good. It's not a drain hole. My car had a captive nut at either end. Im guessing its for assembly at the factory

That is the front of the sill, I used the rear hole as a big plug weld to the reinforced part at the back that I had to replace.

got the rear seam all spot welded up today and ripped off the near side sill, i am working this weekend but I have a week off next week so should get a fair bit done.

cheers Andy they can go then. it's so good working inside progress is so much quicker and I can leave bare metal over night and not have to clean the rust off the next morning! I am renting a place just up the road from me, expencive but so worth it!

boot floors finished off and primed same for the other sill, getting there body work wise. starting to get excited about a bit of a dry build...

also went to buy wheel nuts for my force wheels and nearly fainted at £50 for a set delivered from MS (think they have the market cornered), so had a go at turning down some rover ones...

I am not convinced, if I was to do it I will
find some washers to suite. am I just being a cheapskate?

Yes. Buy the right stuff *smiley*

I wouldn't use those nuts. They appear to have a tapered seat even after machining. The wheels have a 90 degree seat, so the nuts will never fit securely. I wouldn't want to risk loosing a wheel...

I don't really want to spend £50 on wheel nuts that still are not 100% perfect. I belive you have to run the washer the other way round as they are tapered?

I got some wheel studs from a guy locally a while ago may give him a call see if it's something would do.

I got the nuts Carl recommended. They are a perfect fit on mine. I believe Carl stocks them. For me, spending £50 on nuts or risking the wheel coming of and hitting somebody is a no brainer.

I used the wrong nuts on my old wheels, one almost fell off on the motorway. Scary.

That's just normal 'french performance' on 106's.
