cheers mate, its no too bad its worn a bit since it was new so its less sharp( the edges of the bumps are a bit softer). its grippy when its dry, slippy when its wet like painted concrete. and the main reason is that the garage has underfloor heating. the metal conducts very well compared to a concrete slab. it only gets turned on when is is cold. the inside skin of the garage wall is 150fibrelite blocks, thicker than the standard 100 mm so you get a greater amount of thermal lag. so when you open the door and all the hot air escapes the heat is retained in the walls and reduces the fluctuation of tempprature. lol got a bit carried away their!

i think im going to go to abs motorsport for the front end. £115 for a fibreglass front and a bonnet but they charge £30 delevery.

im going to get the door bars and harness bars sorted this week. im tacking the shell to fabricage so they can scolop the ends and i might have more of a chance of getting the welds looking respectable.

Comming along nicely.

I'm not a big fan of the Dzus fasteners. as you have a removeable bonnet you may as well have the front end more permanently fixed. If you wanted it neat you could mould some brackets on the back of the panel, otherwise some nice stainless bolts may do the job.

I made up some angle plate out of alloy and used the door hinge bolts to hold it behind the a panel

you can see it here (just):
