i had it on stands at one point but after the first cut around the quarter they parted company with the quarter bowing out almost half inch the only way i could get it back in line was to lift it from the centre on my trolly jack and jack the sill a little, it seemed stable enough with 3 wheels on the ground

i have stripped down my air saw, turns out the nylon valve had swollen up for some reason when i finally got it out its tube it was 0.32mm larger than the bore of the tube*happy* i mounted it to my black and decker dremil thing and turned it down to a nice snug fit, off to attempt my other arch now :)

other side.. dont have a finnished pic for some reason :(

i need a passenger side lower quarter repair pannel now though as one part of it has been bunged up with some bridging compound and filled its been there for some time and is under the original paint so some dodging not done by me for once*happy*

i wound down the cones on it not long after finishing just to see how low it can go, half inch between the wheel and tubbed arch and about an inch from the floor to the sill, :) its not going to be that low but i know the wheels will bottom out before the chassis bounces off the road... just*tongue*

well its up in the air with the rear subframe off so i can cut the boot floor out to replace with flat steel sheet, not because of rust but the wheel well was in the way from what i want to do and the battery is going behind the passenger seat so its gone too*happy*

That wastegate sure looks like it will be difficult to fit. Are you still planning on using it? What manifold are you using?

stripped the gearbox today all in all not a bad condition, just going to change the layshaft and fit the new gearset and that should be spot on,
stripping the box was alot easyer than i first thought getting 2nd and 3rd gear off in not easy but it came off, i forgot about the bloody balls though :laught: and managed to catch one of them in my eye *blush* the rest stayed put

gearbox striped and had a good wash, just the main double roller needed replacing but i have most of them so they will all get done on rebuild, started grinding off the casting ridges and to polish the centre web, maybe not required at my power level, but as its apart might as well, my baffle tray from Paul wiginton is getting fitted too, whilst waiting for my box to dry, i built up the minispares 4pin diff, just need to get the cw in the vice up at my dads to torque the bolts up
