or anyone that has a red mini with a roll cage on the road is a prick...... each to theyre own scuffster, that was a bit harsh..... he has gone for the retro race look dude. anyway folk sometimes put race roundals on doors to hide poor paintjobs or the fact the doors are nailled.

oh i do like restoring old cars, my last one was a Ford RS1600i, it had 6 sills and 4 battery trays on. i'd welded 27 panels on it, not including patches i had let in!!!!

we had discussions on exhausts at my local club i need to refer to the hughes guide, i think there wa a thread on here where i had typed it in verbatum, if it can be found it would help dividends. I think there is a rule about pointing at the pavement, but that said every cobra i have seen would be ileagal too.

there was a rule about exhausting in front of the driver as one of the lads was considering using stack pipes out the bonnet.

the only problem i forsee is water going down the pipes that house the exhaust towards the sill, and the metal rotting quickly.

i love side exit stuff though

Cool.

When its finished take a video so we can hear how loud it is.

well ive pretty much finished the exhaust, i made the ends of the pipes upswept a little, looks better i think.

ive been looking at changing my arches, my brother bought some gp6 arches so i had a look to see what they would look like.
i think i like it, they have more shape and make it look more retro.
they would need making wider, about 45mm to make them fit.

ive cut out my rear pockets and seat base, i'll be able to do a tidy job of my inner sills and rear box section. i'm going to still use the seat belt mount so i'll put some gussets onto them.

hi,
i've painted the inside of the sills with galv zink rich paint, it should be ok, besides its one less seam to rot.
i use it on my last car and it sat in a damp garage for 9 months and the bits i painted were fine.

ive started work on the inner arch, ive had to cut the bottom of the A panel to get to the rust, i will patch the A panel up for now because i want to make the front end a flip front, so i will put new ones on then.

also i've got some tube to make some rear turrets out of, my new springs rub on the wheels so i need to make them wider, also i want to make them a little taller so the coilovers have plenty of travel in them when i have it sat low.
