Proven 200+bhp & Avon Park 05,06,07 Class D 3rd place

So how do we contact to make some Suggestions on the classes then? Looks like there is a few other people that are ok for a road weight class, Jims idea was cool 800 kgs with driver?

Best 1/4 mile 13.2 seconds @116 mph

I'm gonna see if we can get in touch with Jeff and get him to pass the idea's on. Apparently a couple of the guys from Minimag do actually peruse these boards so they may well already have seen this.

To me its more of a personal challenge to see if the differnces i made this year will turn out to be differences in the times! I want to try and beat my 13.56, maybe even lose enough weight to get into the 12's. Am i right in thinking nic's is the only 5 port in the 12's?

so who bringing scales, a shed load of lead weights, and making sure someone has ALL their weight in for each run?

another unenforcable category, blatantly open to cheating.

Enter your category, fastest car wins. simple.

This is FORD country, on a quiet day you can hear Vauxhalls rusting.

Personally, I think we should leave this event as it is, only thing I think there should be is clarification on what classes gas is allowed to be used in, as it's still a gray area if you can use gas in class D or not.

Is there enough forced induction A series cars for us to be able to run our event at a RWB? Maybe speak to avon or Pod and tell them our plans, and ask them for some dates on when it's usually quiet, so we can sort this out ourselfs. Call it something like "Turbo minis A Series road legal turbo showdown sponsered by www.sheepspeed.com" or something simular which rolls off the toungue, maybe then have different classes:

Feather weight, (as light as you like)
Road weight (800kgs with driver)
Big fat slicks (as ligth as you like, with slicks)

What do you think??

Was the 12 ran at pod Nic? I have to agree with ministef. I basically run get a time and try and better it the next time/year. I have had this car for 5 years, started with a 998 then a Mg engine to what i have now. Think my first year at Avon i was running in the 16's with the first turbo engine!

Super Finnies (as light as you like)

Super Fatties (800kgs with driver)

Super Fasties (no restications, balls out fun)

if it was made to be a weekend event then possibly we could stop the drag racing abit early on the last day and run a little 0-60 sprint challenge if we could get hold of the timing gear. could keep the same classes for the 0-60?

would be a damn good event!!
