Yours car is so awesome Richard!!

I feel sad that i don't had more time to check your car last summer, in IMM. :(

Well let's hope that I really find time to come MITP this year and see lots of more nice powerfull and awesome Minis!!

Steve.

Thanks for the comments.

Managed to pick up 1st place for the van at Bingley in their 'MiniVan & Countryman 50th Birthday' category, ahead of some serious competition from some very desirable modified and standard vans which was a pleasant surprise, especially as I was proudly wearing my TM Hoodie with the logo on full view for the photos so there should hopefully be a bit more PR for the forum. It all adds up.

I think I bought the mirrors from Europa, a really good car accessory mail order company. However, it was about 8 years ago so my memory is not as good as it was. Hopefully if you Google 'Europa' it should take you to the company.

Edit : just checked Steve.

The mirrors are still available from Europa at £16 each. This is the link:

Ordinarily, they are fixed with one screw and a stub which locates in a hole. I ground the stub off in order to mount flat on the sliding glass window but used black Sikaflex 221 industrial adhesive to bond the rubber gasket and mirror to the glass. If you only use the one screwed hole, the mirror would rotate !

I'll load up a pick later of what the mirror looks like on the glass.

Jani - it will be good to meet up again at MITP later this year - I can't wait to see all the new kit you've fitted to the cabrio.

Richard.

Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.
