What did you make the dash from? did you use a template? i want to make one like that, that doesnt use the padded top part. cheers

i used 3mm hardboard, just because its easier to flex into position, and to get the shape i measured the length, then height in the middle, quarters and the ends then just trimmed it to size.
to fix it in i cut and bent up little tabs in the lower rail so i could screw self tappers against it (one either end and one in the middle) the top is held buy the astray and air vents! its pretty solid once screwed back, i'll get some better photos when i get the chance.
cheers

Nic - Dont worry mate, i figured you were busy doing matts car and drinking! lol, it didnt take long to do just with measuring anyway, just me being lazy.

Mr joshua - i have thought about some bracing to go across the floor pan but its damn solid where it is now, see how it goes guess!??!?! haha.

theIMAGE - yes its faux suede brought from ebay, 5 quid gets you a meter by a meter and a half, just enough to do 2 doorcards and a dash (with some fidling *tongue* ) looks really convincing too!

It might be worth bolting something hefty up to the floor though, otherwise you may find you will dent and sag the floor

what would you recommend nic? i was thinking some alloy bar or something to go from the sills to the tunnel across? im going to have to cut the mounts down too, there the same as matts but being taller my head nearly touches the roof!!
