oh andy,

i was trawling TMF the otherday and there was some pics of a carbon roof that seemed to be really well fitted, it was a blue car with a vmax charger on it with a square box on the bonnet with a hole in that the carb sits in i think the guys username was jonnyboi or jonnysti.

may be worth a PM.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

ive been really really busy this month so its been a bit slow on the mini front.

jason came round a couple of weeks ago and finished the rest of the cage except 4 bars in the back which needed looking at again and re cutting, these have now been done and are tacked in place so the cage is whole, i just need to weld the in and its finished.

i have now started looking at the harnesses and am going to make some threaded bosses to weld into the cage.

ive also sorted out all the bits of the steering column so i can make the bits i need for that.

ive also got an urge to spend some money so im going to buy something for the car, not sure what yet though!

pictures will follow during the week but batteries need charging.

Massive thanks to jason

the cage is now completely finished, the last 4 tubes were welded in yesterday.

i think you will agree it looks hard!

ive now had a chance to have a look at the dash and decided there was no way it would fit as it was, so i took a hack saw to it and cut the end caps off, it was a real shame at the time but i have come up with a cunning paln for the dash now!

ive also bought a couple of little bits this mont such as an accelerator pedal for my pedal bo set up, and also some revervoirs and tubes, just need my master cyclinders now but the dont come cheap so will have to wait till next month.

i got some hardened en24 drive flanges and drilled them out to fit my vented discs.

and ive also got a couple of aluminim "Plates" coming my k, i mean way... *tongue*

cheers for the replies.

the accelerator pedal is from optimum balance products, im please with it and good service from them.

clubminiflip i think i know that morris minor yyou are on about im sure i have a video of it somewhere.

nic i will pm you about the master cylinder.

minimadj they are where i am mounting my harness but i am making some inserts to weld into the tube, my mate did it the same way in his kit car which passed sva so im guessing it should be ok.
