I know a guy who is part of this site and hes got a smaller battery in a fiberglass box and sunk it into the seat crossmember. It looks good. If your interested give Richspec a pm and ask him where he got it. |

This is my battery box, steel/alloy lid, rubberised inside, bike batteri is strapped inside (laying down), ventilation hose through the floor. The box is welded to the seat panel…

Just thought, I cant have one sunk into the seat crossmember turbogt, as I think the beam axle will be in the way.

Another option for seat mount is to go onto the sill and the centre tunnel - using the front cross member as well - have done this with the seat in the gold car and its rock solid

Mine was bolted to the floor and moved around loads. I now have two square-section bars that run from sill to tunnel which the seat is mounted on. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

Would any of you have any pictures you could possibly put up just so i could see how to go about having it welded? thanks in advance, Ollie On 2nd Mar, 2008 joeybaby83 said:

as wil says id beef up the floor slightly around the seat mounts too as in my experience the floor will bend as soon as anyone slightly large sits in there Not everyone lets Tom in their cars. On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:
Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem. |
