Good advice indeed!

yep thats pretty much what i did, I made the 2 outer flanges and joints then the centre junction then joined them together, I also used the 180 degree tack then weld approach.

It must have happened when I unbolted it to get to the last awkward to weld bit, oh well i'll just have to add a bit to 1&4 primarys. I'm just suprised ther seems to be no distortion except length ways.

I didn't polish it for you girly types, but in theory it should help keep the heat in.

Thanks for the kind words, guys.

It's a 12g295 head on my 998 turbo.

I've now got two more of these to make, but with the Gt17 flange. One for my super/turbo 998 and another for Sturgeo who has decided to turbo the EFI test engine once I've finished with it.

I might get a free weekend in about a years time at this rate.

Another update.

Made the downpipe:

Due to budget constraints, I've had to use a bit of old Focus exhaust, but at least it is stainless and the right size to fit an RC40 system.

I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

Axel just looking at the pics but I have a question. How much room do you have to swing a spanner on those studs holding the manifold to the head? It looks like the pipes prevent the use of a socket or can you get A 1/4" drive in there. Maybe your special inlets give the room?

I need to cut the studs down to get a socket or a ring spanner on some of them, but I can get an open ended 1/2" on no problem.

Which is better than the Mirage, where it is in fact impossible to use a spannner. You need those funny nuts to do a proper job

It is a T2. This is just a very humble 998 turbo, the air flow is just not enough for the GT17.

The GT17 is for the Super/Turbo K100 headed 1062.
