Strava and Garmin Connect in case one of them loses the data.

I pay for the Strava Premium service. Lots of useful data to analyse *smiley*

Ive just invested in one of these for my "touring" bike... a fairly impressive bit of engineering.

Mansfield - Notts

I found myself getting an itch for a sorted full susser trail bike after riding my Onone. So after a good few test rides I bit the bullet...

Only had it a week but it's abit of a machine. Racked up 22 miles at Cannock on it today and it handled everything in its stride beautifully. It might be outdated, heavy, built by a fat lad in a tin pot shed up't north, but a mate of mine on a Mondraker couldn't get close earlier :)

Fitted a blackspire twinty chain guide earlier and bashring as it'll only ever be a trail bike so the 42 isn't needed..

Next up is a dropper post pennies permitting.

Just handed our hire bikes back at the end of our week in Majorca, 340 miles and about 4000m climbing in 7 days. Legs ache a bit but really enjoyed it.

How's everyone's cycling year going?

I'm well ahead of target, currently at 1750 miles since the new year. Expect to top 4k by Xmas.

Here's something I penned about a trip to Norfolk.

Speeding is like masturbating, everyone does it, but not all of us film it and put it on the internet

Can't get away from the blighters.

As Laura Trott said about Northants the other week "It's not flat, it's rolling". You just don't find much flat road, it's either going up or down.

Good training for Mt Ventoux next summer. 13 miles at 7.5%

It's mostly original fit flow trail 08, with an s&m seat, an aftermarket 25t sprocket and an odyssey hazard lite rim on the rear. It's a real step backwards from my old bikes but for what little use this gets now I'm happy with it!
