Looks great. Love how minimal it is, only thing left is to give it a good wack with a lowering stick.

cheers guys, not had chance to put the padding on in that pic as was up till 10 on the saturday fitting the arches.

Been out today in it and its bang on, handles really well which im suprised about, i think its low enough as it is.

Not really sure how much it weighs but it is rather light a huige difference on the old one

My 'favourite mini' list has just changed. Love it!

This is FORD country, on a quiet day you can hear Vauxhalls rusting.

Great work- looks amazing, the only thing I would do now would be to stick a nice grill on.

Still not forgiven for the carbon grill on the other car then or was that an inadvertent comment*happy*

Bit of progress on the turbo build. Got some more bits ill add photos up later. Here is the rough spec of what we are going for:

998 block
12g940 head with recessed exhaust valves
Kent 266 cam
48mm Jenvey throttle body with twin pico injectors
omega forged pistons
standard rods and crank
Garret Gt1548 turbo on mirage manifold
Emerald K6 ECU

Not sure weather to go SCCR box yet or not? any opinions?

And clutch what do people reccommend?

Just got the throttle body this week and fuel rail and stuff so weve made a little manifold up to fit it to the metro turbo inlet.

Right well ive done fuck all on the blue car this year and fuck all on the grey one, in April i handed my notice in at work and fucked off to Australia.

im now back and my dad has got the grey car on the road just with a 998cc runabout engine in to start off with but i think it looks nice!

progressing a bit on the turbo engine though, working on block preparation looking at dry decking it, had to extend the wastegate acuator linkage to mount the acuator near number 4 exhaust, the block and inlet housing needed some fettling for clearance plugging the water holes because the 1275 gasket has smaller holes and 2 are in a different position

what do you lot think of dry decking, who could do it locally for me round the midlands, preferably derby, MED only machine there own engines these days.

also got a set of +100 pistons do we have to offset bore? can any reccommend some one local?

about to get the turbo oil pump, some machining will be required to make it it fit!

King Gaycharger, butt plug dealer, Sheldon Cooper and a BAC but generally a niceish fella if you dont mind a northerner

Rotherham, South Yorkshire

Just plug the holes in the block, don't worry about the head. I did it on the pillar drill at home. Fast Carl made the hole in the end of the head and the port adaptors.

Not been on here for a while guys! saw Matt Argent at bingley hall and he gave me a bollocking for not being active, this is partly because ive Started a new job and got a new toy which has skinted me!

Anyway...

Trying to get the car ready for the sprint season, need to get the engine out and fit an LSD has anyone got any recommendations? its going in a fully blown track car running slicks so will a quaife ATB be a bit too "kind".

Also ive been changine the shocker mounts to get it a lot lower, fitting some of JB fabrications turrets to get the back end low and fitting a new alloy fuel tank.

ill post up some progress over the next few weeks, getting the car corner weighted to finally find out how much it weighs too!

new toy,

Matt W
