if you want the weave to stay bare looking you can key it an clear coat it. there are clear adhesion promoters which ideally should be used but as its the inside well keyed it should be ok.

bit more tinkering
total weight saving now

weights as of today-
old boot lid 5.93
New boot lid 1.53
= 4.4 Kg not bad, want 2 of them bolt light things now and do something with the fog light, thinking about putting into the current light housings but need to see how legal that would be

You've covered your rear plate but not front. Dodging speed cameras?

today i was out and about in the mini, testing my leanof pipe theory and the boost controller whilst learning how to rev it, i have never really pushed it past 6k i dont know what it is maybe the power drops off sharpish and it nose-dives but i always grab a gear at 6k soooo today i was going for 7k *happy*
a couple hours in and getting confident with it running up the revs and at 6700 a really big bang, i dipped the clutch grabbed neutral and blipped the throttle to get a beautiful metallic clonking and weird wuzzing noise,

anyway to cut a long boring story short i found a bolt head and the alternator being held in place by a bit of threaded bar that was being held in by the alt belt.... possibly one worked loose and the second snapped luckily my dad was home and he ran some bolts and tools to me,

i found a loverly place to stop, i might go back for a quick photo shoot one day *happy*

yeah worked better than expected i can hold as little as 3psi up to 6k.. after that is uncharted territory *happy*

anyway got home, and started to pull all the cooling system off it and test fit the new radiator, but it didnot turn out quite to plan, i have about 30 radiators on my short list after 100s of ebay searches i decided to buy the largest aluminium cored radiator that would fit behind the 'grill' i settled on an MG TF because i saw it in the flesh and the core is very well made, not falling for the cheap ebay shit again i bought a genuine radiator its 300mm tall and 600-odd wide ( 60mm taller and 200mm wider than a cinq rad) i thought it would fit easy and the cinq one is relatively small but its a little bigger than the stated size :/
ended up trimming it to this size
