That's none too shabby mate, there's plenty of steel in your car! Should move along pretty well with 180-odd horses in the front.

Ye I'm happy with that, I haven't really worried about weight and I no there's loads of bits to alter if needed.
Let's get some miles on it first
There is half a tank of fuel in it aswell lol

Looks a decent size fuel tank 40L ? so half a tank (20L) is pretty well 15kg so say 530kg 'dry'

To say it still a steel bodied mini in a way I'm happy enough . It's just hopefully stiffer and not going to rot as easy lol

Well, its kind of finished.

Had a photoshoot with matt woods so expect to see things in a newsagents near you soon lol

Had a little test drive the other night then went to a local classic car meeting last night in it .Think il of done around 40 miles , and it was mega hot and busy so was sat in traffic for half hour or so and it behaved itself.

Morning all .

Had a brilliant and eventfull day at cadwell park on thursday . Did our sighting laps and allready new the gearing wasnt going to be long enough down the straights but thought that would be the case. I did a good few stready laps trying to get used to the car , came in to check everything was ok then back out again .
Second outing giving it the beans down the straight the wheel arch decided to remove itself from the car lol so that ended up with a red flag so the marshalls could recover it . They wouldnt let me back out untill it was back on so gaffa tape it was and i didnt take any chances with the others so they all got taped on .
Back out again and starting to give it some more , id got my brother in and were both 100 kg's, we found the rear arch was catching on the tyre , so much so its put a bug groove in the middle of it ! . Back in again and found someone with some tin snips to remove some rear quarter !!!!
Back out again and really starting to get used to it , i do however have some tinkering to do , the steering is extreamly heavy so need to look at that.
Dinner time come and had to bleed the brakes , i put castrol srf in years ago but its gone funny , i had to put a new clutch slave on wed night and founds its gone all milky ! But didnt have chance to do the brakes so tried to flush that through at dinner, made a slight improvement but still had some air in so theres more to sort now its back.
Went out on my own after dinner and it made the car so much better and nimble ! But its all so nice to have a passanger in so light passangers welcome lol.
Then one of the bonnet pins decided to fall out and the bonnet picked up at the corner . Back in for some more tape 🙈
Did a few more sessions during the afternoon and all was good. Oil pressure around 65 most of the time and the water was the biggest supprise ! Was 58-62 all day round the track ! , as soon as you slow down it rises up to 80+ but as soon as you get some air through it it comes right down .

All in all a good day

All those years building it and wrecked it in one event, d'oh, lol. Glad you enjoyed it and sounds like a seriously fun day out in a beautiful car
