I was too busy messing around on saturday night drinking haha.
Yeah it was very hot, i was watching my temp gauge like a hawk!

Werent dressed as banana man were ya? Lol i too got up to weird stuff including being dared to do a jackass style 'partyboy' to the next person to come out of porta loo haha Me too... but temp guage hardly got over half, oil temp went bit higher than normal tho.. especially when i was playing with a daddys boy in his M3 near brighton lol

Haha no that wasn't me but that was one of the lads from Barnsley mini club.

I didn't dare give mine a thrash as it was still in the first 600miles since the rebuild. All good now though :) gets a good tashing around town

Well looks like the head gasket has fail again...... this time after more than a 1000miles.

Time to take out the engine and start again. Fresh rebore, skim and all that jazz.

As always i like a deadline so MITP it is!

Hey nick it doesn't seem 2 min's since you bought that old bodged up engine off kappa and you've managed to finish it then blow it up twice and on the rebuild again.

Cast omegas are well proven and not too expensive.

you going to get it on road for mitp then nick? like i said earlier wouldn't mind a run up strip in it . looking at turboing my blue one now haha

Andy would you recommend going for a bigger dish than the standard metro pistons?

10cc cast omegas are well up to job. About £330 delivered I think.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

I would recommend you work out your current compression ratio and the decide how much boost you want to run.

I'll send you the calculation sheet Nick.

With a 1293, 10cc pistons and 26cc chambers you would be looking at around 8.5:1
So should be ok for around 1 Bar with agood intercooler.

Is the best place to get the pistons MED?

Andy me and john worked it out not too long ago but i cant remember what it was now haha.

Standard metro turbo pistons so 11cc?
and my head was 24cc

14psi would be nice i reckon

MED for the pistons. Compression will pretty much be the same with the omega's if you leave them 10thou or so down the bore.

Appologies its more towards 8.6:1

If you stay with 1275 if you can the ratio works out better.
