Good effort. Could you not get away with new rings and a hone? On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

Hey nick it doesn't seem 2 min's since you bought that old bodged up engine off kappa and you've managed to finish it then blow it up twice and on the rebuild again.

Andy would you recommend going for a bigger dish than the standard metro pistons?

10cc cast omegas are well up to job. About £330 delivered I think. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

I would recommend you work out your current compression ratio and the decide how much boost you want to run. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

Is the best place to get the pistons MED?

MED for the pistons. Compression will pretty much be the same with the omega's if you leave them 10thou or so down the bore. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

I'll send you the calculation sheet Nick. With a 1293, 10cc pistons and 26cc chambers you would be looking at around 8.5:1 So should be ok for around 1 Bar with agood intercooler.
