Changed my mind again on an intercooler. Found this of a mazda 323gtx. It fits perfectly, its not massive but with a nice duct it should be quite capable.

Finished up the Actuator.

That,s not dissimilar to the one from a Punto Gt, which I have on the A35

Does look very similar. I hope it's up to the job.

I've started on a duct for the intercooler. Hopefully it will get enough air through it. I will probably cover it in something to keep the heat away.

Where did you get the fuel lines from mate?

Engine is almost ready to go :).

Water pump and controller are sorted and nearly everything is wired up.

It's taken me a while to sort the actuator out but i'm fairly happy with this. Just needs tidying up and painting.

Knocked up a new little dash with afr/boost gauge, oil pressure, voltmeter (in the post). Can see the water pump controller on the right, this also controls the fan.

Fuel lines.

I am waiting on an intercooler. I did want to sort something in the inner wing with a duct but i've given up searching for an intercooler of a standard car that would fit. Gone for a 2wd cossie behind the bonnet with a few holes in the bonnet. Although i'm going to try something a little different with the holes.

Actuator bracket looks good, might have to look at something similar for mine when I get the time. Are you fuel lines made of plastic or something?

The fuel lines are alloy from demon tweeks. Krontec stuff. I used a small hand held bender to do the bends.
Its the same as the goodridge stuff though which I think is slightly cheaper. It's gets pretty expensive when you include all the AN fittings.

Thanks no the actuator bracket. Wasn't much choice on where it could go!

It's close *happy*.

Duct is in after a bit of fettling and boost hoses roughly in place.

Also got an MG metro housing which helps get the hose in a better position for the rad. Thank you David! (Tadge44).

My list of things to do is now quite short. Hoping it'll be up and running mid January.

Exciting times! Apart from the obvious hose its almost a stealth turbo install at quick glance..

Looks spot on mate!
Hopefully see this at ace cafe in the new year sometime!

Have you got a leccy pump plumbed in to the dry deck hose?

Nice work on the duct, did you make a mould first? I've got lots of fiberglassing ahead of me.

Yep, no mechanical pump.

The pump runs off a controller to. It controls engine temp, don't use a stat. Also brings in the fans if the pump won't shift enough water to cool the engine.

Can adjust engine temp etc inside the car, keep moving water after turning car off etc.

Sounds good jonny.
I've been thinking about fitting a electric pump as a secondary pump. Only to come on when I turn the engine off, to take the heat out of the turbo.

New plenum. Thanks Matt. Fits all good.

Slightly lower and wider to keep the volume the same. It clears my bonnet nicely. Only issue is now the carb doesn't! It's higher than it was on the old engine due to the engine being tilted forward and the turbo inlet sits higher.

I'd swap to a standard Inlet manifold

Looking really awesome dude. Hopefully you can get it all to fit under the standard bonnet.

Australia, brisbane

someone before me has milled my current manifold to tilt/lift the carb
they cut the flange on an angle and welded the back side so it could be cut for the studs to pull it up flat
they did a good job of it ive not had any issue that i know of this lays the carb back and it clears the bulk head but not by much so no chance with out the mod id think
not sure if it messed the float level or what but its been good for me maby an option if you have the tools?

Might sound daft but how did you connect the fuel hose to the hardline? With a tube to -6 then a -6 to 8mm barb?
