Ok, small update, the few teeching problems seem to have sorted themselves out. Gears now engage correctly and clutch seems to be getting lighter day by day. Valve stem oil seals glued down.

So today I install my VAG boost control valve and mapped the ECU for progressive boost up to 15psi at 4500rpm and above.

Now car as gone from a pussy cat to areal handful.

They look a lot better in the flesh. I'm really happy with them, they have finished the car off nicely.

It will never be finished. Already considering a different dash incorporating ones of these that I bought for another project 6 months ago.

Or I might change my focus back onto the red turbo for a while. It's just covered in dust sat in the garage and hasn't been used in over a year. Been seriously thinking about Zcars conversion or braking it to fund a Caterham. Feel like I've exhausted the A series and fancy something different.

After speaking to John about corner weights, I've took the plunge and bought some secondhand weights





Cars is 710kg and diagonal split is more a less perfect with no driver. That explains why it feels real good with a heavy passanger and shit when just me in the car. With the Wife in the drivers seat it out by 5-6%, so some adjusted is required I guess.

710 is pretty light

I think 710kg is about right. I've checked each scale with my weight and they seem spot on.

yeah, mines about 690, but thats not got interior,

Mine is 712 with 2/3rds fuel
