The turbo will be going in this car. I'm currently building another one that the KAD engine will go in with some tweaks.

The turbo engine will be going in the road car and the 16 valve engine in the hillclimber.

The chances are the turbo will produce just as much power for half the money of the n/a though.

shells off for having a few panels replaced, should be done in the next couple of weeks, then its all systems go. Ill have to get my wallet out again.

Here is the shell, ready to build up over the winter hopefully ready for march. Didn't really get many photos but had quite a bit of work done. Really pleased with it.

Don't know if you had the rear arches tubbed ?
but strictly speaking that is not within the mod. prod. rules for hillclimb

I suppose its just interpretation of the rules, but i got them tubbed anyway. When i had a quick glance at wils car he had his tubbed anyway if i remeber rightly and quite a few cars ive seen also have them cut out. Its like the whole rear bins and seat cut away saga.

Right bit of progress with the turbo build. Got bit of a plan.

998 block
12g940 head with recessed exhaust valves
Mg Metro or kent 266 cam
1 50mm twin Jenvy throttle body
Emerald K6 ECU

Just purchased a Brand new GT1548 and having the waste gate actuator moved so that it clears the bulkhead and got the mirage manifold and downpipes.

The carbon grill on the 16v, is it made or bought? I love it !

Made, by Carbon weezel. We had a few ideas so came up with that grill. Car seemed to run a bit hotter though. Running the alloy rad should cure this.

Just read all through this, top car mate and really like what you have done . Looking forward to seeing the 998 turbo now

Just got some bits for the sprint car which is progressing slower than id like due to lack of enthusiasm. Decided on a rear beam for the back and coilovers all round, Car should be off for paint shortly after christmas.

Have a feeling it might be tight on time for the start of the season

Not impressed with the KAD tie rods, paints chipping off before there even on the car and All I've done is set them to length.

Building front subframe up this week and car is off for paint early feb
