Do you still have the other seat belt mounts at the bottom of the rear bulkhead?

Yep that's my next job. I used them to hold the trailer straps on the way home.

Carnforth, Lancs

Those gussets are a nice bit of fab, but won't they make it very difficult to work on the brake hoses and top arm pin plate?

Shouldn't be a problem with the flip front. Access seems fine. Apparantly there is loads of flex in that area.

With the cage, is there even any point in that gusseting ?

The horizontal piece they go down to will have little strength, the cage should be providing most structural strength now and with the crossmember bolted solid to the chassis, it will be a strong unit.

Owens Fabrication sign is mounted on the dash bar, my existing carbon panel will be used on the shelf & yes bare shell without the roof and no cage would be 98kg approx.

Instead of painting....just a light coat of laquer ?

Bound to save some weight too.

How much weight of paint typically goes into a full paint job ?

King Gaycharger, butt plug dealer, Sheldon Cooper and a BAC but generally a niceish fella if you dont mind a northerner

Rotherham, South Yorkshire

Are you going to redo the repairs on the floor? Bound to be some weight to save there.

Repairs are were the safety devices plates have been cut out and replaced. Drivers side 1/2 sill has been prevously replaced, but I'm thinking off replacing both full outer sills to tidy it all up. I've got a small repair section next to the tunnel, from previous seat mount. The shell is all orginal, apart from that, and is looking rot free.

They are a real pig to get out aren't they, I thought my back was breaking - but maybe easier whilst the shall is on it's side?

How much does the shell weigh now with the cage installed?

Handbrake mechanism removed by KAD, hopefully should prove a little bit more reliable and not need constant adjustment.
