Whilst im here.. your boot, is it single skin? I think ive seen it before n with door rubber instead of boot rubber? You have any leak issues with it?

Yea door rubber. Yea it leaks, it wouldn't leak if I had a centre lock but I only have bonnet pins at each side.

I used a door rubber as it was a better fit on the minus.

With regards to the actuator position I have mine on a bracket tigged off the exhaust manifold and my lamba sensor is under the turbo if that helps

Got a picture of the actuator bracket? I was going to try and do that but couldn't seem to get a great angle on it.

I have been debating some other bits.

Think i could loose, seat crossmember, battery box, rear seat back and parcel shelf. Would make a lighter seat back and shelf to keep the firewall for tank.

Makes such a mess though garage is covered in dust now.

It went just under 550kg before I swapped the engine so I would estimate around nearer 560 with all the turbo bits on there.

But surely the turbo lump will compensate an extra 10 kg!? Lol

Can I add, this mini is mint when I saw it at ace cafe a few months back!

I prefer the engine colour *wink*

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

Haha probably yea, there's still so much 'free' power left in it though. So many parts I could lighten. Thanks!

I definitely prefer the green to :).

How much does your other Mk1 Minus weigh without the cage and everything else?

Changing the subject slightly...

Are thoughs med roller tip rockers you're using?
If so have you got any side to side movement? I've just fitted a set and they have si's to side movement. Not sure if they need shimming or anything. If they do I would of thought they would of supplied them?

Thanks,
Josh

I've not weighed it. It has a cage, steel doors and full fat subframes so I would imagine it's a fair bit heavier.

Yea they are. I can't remember to be honest I'm sure I would of noticed if I thought it was anything to worry about. I don't think a little movement would cause an issue.

Engine is almost ready to go :).

Water pump and controller are sorted and nearly everything is wired up.

It's taken me a while to sort the actuator out but i'm fairly happy with this. Just needs tidying up and painting.

Knocked up a new little dash with afr/boost gauge, oil pressure, voltmeter (in the post). Can see the water pump controller on the right, this also controls the fan.

Fuel lines.

I am waiting on an intercooler. I did want to sort something in the inner wing with a duct but i've given up searching for an intercooler of a standard car that would fit. Gone for a 2wd cossie behind the bonnet with a few holes in the bonnet. Although i'm going to try something a little different with the holes.
