I suffer from a combination of dyslexia and shit spelling.

In reality, it's the Jim Beam and my lazyness *hehe!*

The pump is above the subframe, you can just see a bit of the blue body. The filter is in the pic that sprocket linked to.

Just finished all the unexpected welding

Andy yes, my welding is crap today. While it was on stands we adjusted the brake/fuel lines again. No chafing now.

Early start tomorrow. The MOT is at 10am and the interior is all over the garage and we haven't had chance for a propper check over yet *oh well*

Good luck with the MOT. bet you can't wait to get it propper run in and set up :)

Not saying it will, but I tend to use the MOT test as a problem finder. It gives you a list you can work towards getting the ticket.

Thanks. My local tester is pretty straight. If theres something silly he will just tell us to sort it before it goes anywhere - always fails for dangerous stuff though. All the suspension brakes etc etc are all good. hopefully I've caught all the rust, so it's just the go faster bits that might trip us up....
the only anoying bit is that we won't be able to drive it further than back to the garage tomorrow. Ah well, no doubt we'll blow it up on April fools day *hehe!*

Cheers for that Colin. Lets just say my fingers are crossed.

As you say MOT will highlight any problems.

Thanks

It's running in time, need to get the fueling setup as best we can with the afr gauge and get some miles on it. Then we can wind the boost up a bit. It's booked in at Bog Brothers for the 22nd so we can get it setup and see how much power it makes.

It got plenty of attention at the test centre.

Nice one on the MOT but how did you manage to get a 6 month tax disc today ???

They shouldn't have issued a new on until tomorrow (unless it was still taxed from its previous life)......

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???

Yep, you can tax them early. If it's been sorned, then you can do it two days early:

Excellent, I wasn't aware of the two days in advance rule if it's SORN'd.

The normal "early" rule (almost a month early) is only for cars that are already taxed as per Andy's link which is what I was thinking about.

But, thinking about it a bit more, I supposed they had to put the extra "2 days" in because of weekends and Bank Holidays.

Anyway, you have it taxed, that's the main thing :)

We have a few in Andy's cellar. However this one isn't leaking at the moment so can't be bothered to swap it.
