One last thing, what is the AFR reading when you are driving, it is also lean? |

Its very strange because if you have a blockage you will end up with a lean mixture on cruise and on power. The jet how much is bellow the surface of the ventury? Can you take a picture of it? |

The intercooler hose hadn't actually melted through but I think over time it would have.

So the other day I started making a solid jet holder. Doing away with the biggest metallic one.

Right got my holder tacked up fine. Got it all back together and she now idles smoothly. Decent throttle response, sits happy at 900rpm. AFR flicks between 12.6-13. seems happy at this is know 14.7 is ideal at idle though.

What regulator are you using, and for ignition set it between 10 to 15 at idle, I don't like to set it below 10 because its start to generate too much heat on the exhaust manifold. |

It's one I bought years ago that I think the guy used it on a turbo civic.

The civic was fuel injected of carburetor, because a fuel injection regulator is not ideal for a carburetor application. |

Well I took it out for a quick spin to as weather is nice. Going great. Then thought I'll just check the bleed valve works. Put my foot down a bit... Bleed valve works. Then there was a clonk which sounded like a stone going under the car. Thought oh better slow down. Got to the top of the hill and oil light came on. Engine off within seconds and stopped.

really the pinion and crown wheel should be a matched pair, I'd happily mismatch on a std engine, but on somthing like this probably not.
