Good luck with the mot mate, you haven't got any new pics of that boot fitted!

im still debating how to fix it so it stays tight onto the boot seal, and i need to find another seal that fits to the car rather than the boot lid

indicators not orange enough
pass door doesn't open from the inside
the hand brake cable just touches the rear brake lines when fully jacked up
the exhaust is clearly of excessive volume and needs minimum of 1 silencer the baffle does not count
then the fuel return line developed a leak,

and i did not give it much stick couple of blips here and there, scares the shit outa me :$

edit, i asked about the rule changes, he just said dont worry if it would have failed before it will still fail essentially there is no change just more definition but there is worse to come

Suprised about the volume thing? Is it excessively loud? As mines never failed on this. Nor have I ever been questioned on it?

the bulk head got a thorough inspection inside and out,
i got the look of... thats not meant to be there but all he said was that a ruddy big turbo

it is quieter than the volvo at idle with its baffle in but it states on the fail sheet needs a silencer

mine sounds like a loud bike too, you cant actually hear it when driving, the drops sort that out lol

problem is i had no intention of having one on it and it will need a complete system built again
the back box on the volvo will fit straight on but i will have to cut the mini system again

Brett just get a removable box for MOT'd, then just a link pipe for after the mot is done.

we've got a spare 2" box from the van you can borrow

well just got back from the mot test, after a scary 10 minutes sat in traffic and a massive misfire, i got there got tested got home lots of fun and it passed


some probnlem areas to address

the ignition map is a little too advanced in the 2krps/100kpa region
it pulls 256.7 kpa at the top of 3rd
it wets the plugs at idle but hits 18+afr at part throttle light load ( setting off)
it jumps out of second if i back off aggressively
it accelerates soo fast it looses sync and misfires, but i think that is also related to the misfire on a cold start and looking at the logs its always a reason 2 ( missing tooth at wrong time)
and the silencer from the volvo does fuck all to quieten it down

Get some logs up on here of the sync loss and missfires!

Edit - Get some tooth logger results up as well, that will show you if there is a problem with the trigger wheel.
