Looking very good there, I'm sure the exhaust can be 'pursuaded' to take a different route.

This is definately a project I'm keeping an eye on.

Thats not ignorance (although some brute force) its just pragmatic engineering rather than precision engineering, often known by its other name of quick and dirty.

Finally off the axle stands and rolled out into the sunshine....

New engineering material...

This actually mocks up the FG front height so I can work out where to put the radiator and intercooler.

It is, not yet driven with it as it's only bought for this project which is not yet complete but I've used it for all the engine testing.
IMHO slightly too loud with the N/A engine when I was testing the fuel injection on it but just right with the turbo installed. Similar sound to the Mongoose system I have on my Cossie.
It is very well made though, the pressings, tube and especially the welding are the best I've seen.

A while yet Aiden, radiator and intercooler plumbing next, then the flip front, then finish body inc. respray, etc. Your's will be finished first, I look forward to seeing it :)

Yes i have the same pipe on my turbo, i was also very impressed with the quality. Im finding the noise level is perfect until i get some speed up and then i have a very loud noise coming from the rear of the car. At first i thought it was the pipe or the car vibrating, but now i think its just the exhaust coming on song.
have you had yours at full throttle whilst testing?

After a couple of week's pause, I sorted out the fitting of the "flip" front.

Obviously it's not "flip" in the usual sense after all my experiments with window hinges and mechano.....

Tacked together

Proof the hinges work

And with the weight of the fibreglass front fitted.

Just need to design the steel frame to carry the I/C and rad - and also make the frame be the lock down point for the front - and then order the tube...

But, with a bit of luck, I should have it running this weekend.
