Why I must ask did you go with the mini gasket?
Just because you had it?

If anybody else has any thoughts let me know.

I know of one attempt at an 8v fiat head I will dig out the link but it's short on detail

yes , i just popped new holes in it for the studs , it wasn't even a new gasket *wink*
