Do you have a good source for the Aquamist kit?

All I can find are the £600 jobbies :(

Photos make it look better Phil :)

Paul. I got it second hand for £160. They do come up on eBay now and then. Then I just added my own nozzle, tank and non return valve.

Mine was especially cheap because the guy said it was missing loads of stuff, but found it all before I collected it.

Had a laugh today. Had a go in a Porsche 966 turbo, then a few laps in the mini. The mini was more 'entertaining'.

Cheers Rick.

Few bits to do before I'm happy with it. Lighter doors and rear suspension overhaul are next on the list.

Where did you get the rear lenses from mate? Been looking for some red ones and can't find anyone doing them anymore.

They're just clear ones painted with red lens tint.

Bit of an update. Not been doing much work on the car as I've just moved and currently enduring the lack of time or money that goes with it.

Anyway. Car is still running great, using it daily at the moment. 20psi squirts to work is great.

Just started to get some more weight out of it in the shape of some lightweight doors.

Original complete door - 18.6KG
Ally skinned, plastic slider jobbies - 6.8KG

These don't have the mirrors, hinges or opening mechs fitted, but should still come in sub 8kg once complete. I'm pleased with the weight saving.

Cheers for the loan of the skining tool Andy. Your request for it back has meant that I've hot my finger out this afternoon to do the other side.

The one I did today was much better than the first attempt.

I think it's a case of hammering the skin most of the way then using the tool to finish. Also you need to make sure that you keep the tool level as its easy to not have it flat and dent the skin.

I've found the skinning tools can take a bit of practice to prevent damaging the work. Probably why the pros generally seem to use a hammer and dolly?

Is that intercooler custom made? If so do you have any details of who made it?

I think this has been asked on every page of this thread. Lol

It's made by Allard. I've probably posted a link at some point.
