I like it! Whats the plan for engine spec? Out and out screamer or keeping it more reliable? A friend of mine had a teg tr engine in his 94 civic 240bhp and its not died yet, 4 years of hard use not even a rebuild

That's looking lots more like a car now,

It was a shell in a shed when I saw it last.

In the 13's at last!.. Just

Engine plan is standard internals for now whilst I get it up and running, I have got jenvey ITBs and I'm running an emerald ecu. I've also got some nitrous to plumb in too.

Once it's all running and set up I'm going to build another engine with the b18c6 type r head high compression pistons BC cams and also change the final drive to suit the 10" wheels.

To get it running I need to finish making the manifold, make a full exhaust, finish my inlet manifold, fit the fuel system and wire the thing up. So I've still got a lot to do.

I don't really get a lot of time to work on te car as I moved out to my own place and the cars about half an hour away at my parents, also my works really got busy so I work 6 days a week now.

On the plus side I have got money to spend on the car now, next excitement is a race technology dash!

Northamptonshire.

alot of the 16 valve boys said standard final drive on the Honda boxes just eats 10£" wheels alive what final did you go for? :)

I take it the box has an lsd in as standard? Shouldn't be too bad for grip on 10's really especially if you dump the clutch at 5k to get rolling before then hitting the vtec cam and taking off.

What I don't understand is why many turbo minis are producing a load more torque than a vtec and most of these engine converisons but are still happy on 10 inch wheels. However when an engine transplant is on the cards suddenly people cry out that 10's arn't up to the job. Is it down to weight distribution and lack of lsd's that create the issue or just an unjustified decision that because 13" is bigger then 10" regardless of the fact they may only have 10mm of rubber extra on the road they are needed because they have a big engine.

P.s I Love the car

Plus 13s on low profile road tyres are well uncomfortable with uprated suspension. 10s all the way.

I think the fuss with these honda engine conversions and 10" wheels is all down to the final drive. When you think the standard car is designed to run on 15"s and the affect that has on the ratios when you drop to 10"s it's understandable things need looking at.

Im currently building the car with the standard (LSD) box and final drive 4.2 I think, but if I find it's an issue watsons do them in 3.7 and 3.4.

Thanks guys. Joe I think it will be a while yet before its painted, need to get it running first.

Paul the manifold has been cut and shorten again since this photo was taken so it should now fit behind a slightly modified grille. And the shock mounts are just the spax ones that you get from shudders field I think.
