I really like the grey, not so sure about the blue. reminds me of a base spec mini.

I think it should look better when the front end is on wich will all be blue , and the maskin is off the windows. The grey is nice (its the same as inside) but it looks more grey than blue at mo.

I think your right.Once the making is off and the front is on,the grey will be broken up a bitmore.

The finish looks beautiful by the way,really nice work.

EDIT - Like the pinstripe as well,I have a mk2 golf which is two tone with a similar one and its a nice touch.

What, you have to remove the dizzy shaft when you MJ a car ???

That means putting the gearbox appart and everything ???

No remover the dizzy, and use a magnet to pull it out...

Well thats what i did when i stripped my engine.... from what i can remember lol.

Oil filter head bolts also fit the dizzy shaft

rocker shaft studs also fit into the dizzy drive...

I assume you can't really use this technique to pull it back on if required (but who would want to revert from MJ anyway)

Not a lot to report to be honest, engine is back in and running, just having problems with the mj talking to the laptop

Got things like rear lights in and working, rear windows in, finished making panneling inside to close the rear in. Had a prob with the electric water pump but that seams to be sorted now.

How do gents, long time no progress,

I thaught id best let you all no its still here, its just moved around the workshop so i can get to it better.

Ive had a massive step forward tonight, it runs and drives.

Obviously loads of bits to sort out, carb is leaking (looks like throttle spindle ,outer) if anyones any ideas, ive just rebuilt it, obviously a shit job.

Carnt get reverse, but i didnt expect my homemade linkage to work first time.lol

Got my new water pump on and hopfully working, just need to sort fuel issue so i can leave it running longer.

Hopfully not much to finish, progress is slow though due to my on going back problems, finaly found a problem, been for an mri scan and ive two slipped discs, at least it not me being a puff why am in pain., just not sure on what route to go now to sort myself out.

Anyway pics are miles better than me trying to cobble a story together with my spelling.

Yes i think the main thing is it needs a bloody good clean, the out side had a quick blow off when it went outside
