Glad its just something daft, not sure where you can get the leads unless you just pop into your local motor spares place and ask to look at some

Trigger wheels only sell the clip type ends for the coil pack. I need the push fit.

Fuel regulator was pushing 11psi of fuel into the engine! which just filled it up with about 2.5L of petrol mixed with a full load of oil.

Proper shocked as i filled one 5L oil tub and a 2L bottle along with some on the floor.

The reason the regulator was pushing 11psi was down to either dirt in the return or a air lock which i had to blow out.

Its a shame that its still burning a little bit of oil though, worse when cold then gets slowly better as it warms up.

Maybe Lee but i suspect i have some worn rings or something is still slightly wrong with the turbo (spindle shaft worn)

im just about to start mine is it ok to running it like yours wth low boost?

Carl i know it was like a fountain when i took the dashpot off and turned the key so the pump came on. Ran some shit oil through just to try and get all the fuel out so hopefully all good now.


I started mine on a 20degree map to get it running and run the cam in. Now running a 24degree map at 7psi of boost.

Just get a basic map for your engine spec and keep the boost low until you know its ok.

tbh i dont know to much about the corrilation of advance vs boost, just know that too much advance and boost =boom :L

is it possible to have to little advance?

Its just as bad to not have enough advance.

Turbo's low advance but that can lead to detenation and Ka BOOOOM, I'm running the Benross Chris MAP and things seem fine, not pushed it past 3 1/2k but let it build boost to check the boost level and saw 0.9 Bar (12PSI) on the lappy so just dialed in a little more ready for tomorrows RR.

Personally i'm still learning myself.

I've personally looked at loads of different MAPS off people and tried to understand how it works.

I made a drastic mistake with the first ever n/a MAP and killed a head gasket in 5 miles. After that i just dropped the factory MAP in the mini and took it to the RR and got it sorted.

The factory MAP is about as safe as you'll get to start your engine and limp it to the RR.

Off piest question is your ignition Megajolt or NoDIZ ?
