looking grate mate, but i think 12-14psi on 9.1 CR is a bit safe?
is that static swiped CR or dynamic CR (from point of valve closure) ?

8.9-1CR with 26cc chambers. Static. I have just bought some Bosch 315cc injectors, so should be able to run 16-18psi at 80% duty cycle at 6k rpm.

It's interesting to see your chambers are the same size as mine, but with material removed in different places. It looks like I should be able to get some more volume from mine if I need it.
Nice idea with the runners, it will be interesting to see what difference it makes.

I'm really happy with the extensions, they should aid torque and give a bigger damping effect on fast throttle movements due to the higher air volume after the throttle bodies. They also make it a lot easier to change plugs and give access for dip stick.

imo 140-150 cranking psi seems a bit low id be looking for more CR or boost but that depends on fuel and IC

My plan for 12-14psi was held back by both the T2 turbo and smaller injectors.

Am going to run 3d mapped boost control valve. Limiting boost at lower TPS valves and lower revs for drivability and progressive traction. I'll then run up to 18psi at higher revs to keep the torque curve flat. With a rev limit of 6k depending of engine VE.

I'm hoping upgrading to the GT1752, will prevent boost creep at cruise. The T2 seems to come on boost with the smallest throttle angle, ie cursing at 70mph in 4th cars at a steady 2psi. My other carb'd turbo cruises in a vacum.

I know it sounds stupid, but a miss a little bit a turbo lag. With 1380cc the T2 is on full 6psi boost at 2200rpm.

In my experience anything above 15psi is too much for the road anyway. Certainly in my lightweight red saloon.

Maybe with the clubman been 200kg heavier it my feel a bit less scary at high boost.

All these upgrades have forced me to buy another intercooler. The small grill mounted IC was limited to around 150bhp and worked perfectly at low boost/charge temps.

Considering a universal forged IC

What's your thoughts?

true must have missed out on the bit regarding the boost controller and such
so ur sort of setting up like the metro turbo was to keep tourqe under controle but not for the sake on holding a std box together but to stop wheel spin

how about the normal fix for boost creep an external gate?

being on boost (a few pound) cruseing whould be a really nice thing for that instant get up and go also better economy if ran slightly lean on low throtle/load witch cruse is

ill be disappointed if its not a hand full thats what my mini is for FUN!

are the clubbys really that chubby? thought they where about the same buga..

not ran it yet but liquid to air i had the heat gun pushing like 70c air in there and it was ambient temp out
my build is dependent on really low charge temps as its such hi CR and boost plan to run 10.5 dynamic (225psi cranking) with 20 pound useing E85 suposidy this is the way forwad with turbos now days high cr and high boost on e85 time will tell !!

that ic looks nice go for type 04 if ur can fit it/plumb it as its got better end tank design for flow
i was looking at some of the ic desings in terms of internals there was a write up i found that explaing it all and what workes for what app hi boost or low flow rates ect fin packs surfice area so on

i decided on liquid as it allows an ice box if i need it

Boost creep was the wrong word. The wastegate is closed at 2psi, but turbo is that small it's boosting.

Contemplating keeping the small intercooler with a 135 into a 45 silicon hose. What your thoughts?

Did you find much pressure variation between the springs in the set ?

That's a beautiful piece of engineering, I want to go 7 port eventually (long way away yet)

All pretty close to be fair. They are kent cams VS7's. Outer springs only. They don't bounce at 6.5k with SW5 cam, so I'm sure they will be ok with the 274 mild cam and 6k rev limit.

Is that full lift figure at the cam or at the rocker?

Speeding is like masturbating, everyone does it, but not all of us film it and put it on the internet

id think he has taken the rockers into account as he wants to measure seat pressure

That's full lift at the valve using 1.3 ratio rockers. This setup equates the Kent cams VS2 springs that are recommend for the MD274. The SC head uses a much lower spring height and narrower springs.

I know what Brett means, I'm amaised and how you can pop engines in and out without scratching paint and messing up that neat engine bay.
