I've always wanted a Kirk. In Norway they were called Diamant ( Diamond) If i remember correctlym the frames weren't al that good were they?

Made at the same factory as my 90ies Minilites *wink*

Thats interesting Vegard,

Yes the frames can be a bit wafty, the point the rear deraliure mounts is somtimes breaks, and some are rather flexy especially if they have been heatcycled in a powdercoating over apparently. I really want to get hold of one of the racer frames too as they are supposed to be a lot more rigid, and lighter, and less prone to breakage.

on mine the bare frame is 3kg, a moder steel frame would be lass than that! also I have towonder about the aero dynamics of that H beam frame, But I do like riding it, nothing seems to get the same attention, either what the F is that, why hasnt it cracked yet, or why havent you died in a fireball yet....

My Spez is the heaviest at 10kg. The wifes Scott and sturgeos Felt are about 9.5 kg.

I'm a bit perplexed with the bike weight issue. As I'm still about 20kg overweight, will it make any difference by losing just 1 or 2kg on the bike?

Latest carbon frames weight less than 1kg *surprised*

Nick, love the retro look. You just need some retro lycra to go with it :)

Doing our first Sportive this weekend.

Only the "fun" course of 44 miles but it's going to be a bit challenging.

The Tour of Britain goes through the Chase tomorrow. Just looking at the map to decide whether to watch it there or up in the Peaks.

Yes Paul, you can do it all on a hardtail no problems, just slow down a bit more for the rough stuff.

Noice,

That'll do as it is in the Velodrome. No gears and no brakes - ideal.

I keep looking at them!

think I'd have to swap the wheel aout though because of the sturmey.... or risk death on a propper set of rollers...

I've been looking for a while.

We did a reckie of the TdF pit on the time trial day to see what the pros are using. Sky use the Elite models and they were a lot quieter than the others. If it's good enough for Wiggins, It's good enough for me :0

Too much concentration needed for rollers.
