Horizontal (give or take 10 degrees) is preferred, MSA deem it "acceptable" down to 45 degrees. Theres a good image somewhere, I'll see if i can dig it out...

It can be quite dangerous as it pulls down on the shoulders in a crash.

Yes, I see... I can see how they'd pull down in an accident. I guess it depends how high the holes in the back of the seat is compared to how low down the bar is? I'll leave it for the minute but keep in mind the possible problem. I may have to install an additional bar or move the one that is there we'll see..

Ok so car prepped and first base coat applied... defiantly tweed grey but the artificial light deceives it....



Looks almost olive green...





It's going in on monday for its proper coating after its been mopped down over the weekend...

I quite like the olive look now.... Or as the missus just said "It looks army green".

I will be putting brace bars, ain't got them yet... might manufacture something up myself. I was thinking about making something out of some steel tube, got an idea floating around somewhere in the back of my head....

Final prep before before painting...



Underneath the clam shell will be stone chipped for obvious reasons, also inside the A panels and flitches... nearly there now as far as the bodywork is concerned.

Started thinking about other bits to go back in once its back from the painters... pulled out this mess earlier...



Dunno where the fook to start with this? Either I recondition the loom and make off all new ends or I look into buying a new one? Probably attempt to sort out this one first but it's going to be tricky!

Just lay it all out n imagine its path in the car.. i think youll find its not that bad

The loom isnt too bad. Most plugs will only go to one thing so its relatively strsight forward

I think your gonna hear the primer joke quite a few times! Its up there with "ya bonnets not shut" or "ya gearbox sounds fooked" does look a good job tho mate!! Just needs some rare specialist components 10" split rims

Thanks again chaps... I'm going to re-do the subframes in 2 pack paint whilst it's at the sprayers, also the underneath still needs to be done. Then the fun can begin putting it back together!

This is giving me ideas about getting the estate back on the road.
